On-location maternity photography session in the winter snow.

Last week I had the opportunity to do a maternity photo shoot at my client’s home in Vancouver. The session happened between snow storms, while everything was still covered in white. It has snowed for almost a week and the temperature had dropped to an average of -3 degree. We did not anticipate this much snow towards the end of February in Vancouver, not when we were so close to spring.

I was looking forward to the photo shoot but was worried that it would be too cold for the beautiful mom-to-be. Fortunately there was very little wind compared to every other day in the month. The photos turned out to be wonderful. We were lucky enough to capture sunset in some of the shots. After the sun went down, the snowy landscape helped reflect a layer of pure white light on the skin. Thanks to their gorgeous backyard that created all these perfect natural backdrops for this maternity photo shoot.

For on-location maternity photo sessions, I provide large selections of maternity gowns, accessories, and flower crowns but it is always a great idea to bring a few of your favorite dresses and outfits along. My maternity gowns are very stretchy and fit size S to XL. Once you have booked your session we will send you a guide on what to bring to your session.
